When I Grow Up

When I grow up I want to be
The friend you've always been to me

Remember when we'd laugh and play
Thinking about our 'special' day

Imagining ourselves a bride
Wishes and hopes to each other confide

Memories I now recall
Summer, winter, spring and fall

You were there to lend a hand
Always you would understand

Trials and tribulations we had
Giving hugs when we were sad

Smiles and laughter ever shared
Showing always that we cared

Friends we will always be
Steadfast and eternally

I pledge my love to you my friend
That this friendship knows no end
