New Beginnings

We've all the heard the saying
That goes something like this

"If you love something set it free
If it comes back it was meant to be"

Sometimes it takes leaving
To realize what you'll miss

I loved you my darling
Right from the start

You entered and remained
Down deep in my heart

Things didn't go as I hoped they would
Baggage we carried from yesterday

We parted and each of us
Went our own way

I met another
But love was not true

How could it be
When I'm still loving you

The ties between us
Came together again

You realized what I've always known
We are more than friends

Come Christmas
We will reunite

My heart has already
Taken off in love's flight

The tears on my face
Solely there because of love

This Christmas I will get
The most precious gift from above

Thank you God for Happy Endings
And Love filled New Beginnings
