She was a lady, wife, a mother and more
She was a grandmother the kids loved and adored

She taught of strength and how to survive
She has passed on but in our hearts shes alive

God picked a flower and we all know
He wanted an angel and he picked our rose

The evenings now seem more serene
As we reflect on our memories of Irene
