My dearest friend,

I'll be there for you always,

When you need to be alone,

For you I shall sit and wait.

If it's a shoulder you need to cry on,

Mine is but a cry away.

To make you smile when you are sad,

Is but my only wish.

To see you laugh when you are happy,

Is my greatest gratification.

When you are down and feeling troubled,

My world stops dead in its wake.

I know I'm not the best to solve all problems,

But, my best is all I have to offer.

It is yours, no asking needed,

I give it to you freely.

And this I pledge 'till my days do end,

I will always, always be your friend.
